FAQ
Questions, answered.
Short answers to what people ask most, before and after they order.
Pricing and the invite link
Why does my cart say "Retail price"? I was told I would get a discount.
Avellum sells at the retail price to everyone. The Amway Partner Store Discount shows when you open Avellum from the invite link you were sent, or when the discount was already applied to your account when you joined. If you have a link, open it on the device you are shopping on, even if you are already signed in, and your price updates. Still seeing Retail price after that? Write to escalations@avellumhealth.com from the email on your account.
Is my discounted price permanent?
The note beside your price is the answer, word for word: "This discounted price depends on your Amway status, and you will need to confirm it through Amway later. If that status changes, your price changes with it, starting at your next order."
Where is my bundle discount? My cart did not take $20 off the blood panel.
The bundle discount applies to the blood panel when protocols are in the same cart as the panel at checkout: $10 off with one protocol, $20 off with two or more. It shows as a "Bundle discount" line under the panel and on the payment page. A panel bought on its own does not get it if protocols are added later. The protocols themselves are charged separately, when you finish your medical intake.
Ordering, intake and prescribing
Do I need a consult?
For any medication, yes. Every treatment on Avellum needs a prescription, so you complete an online medical intake and a licensed clinician reviews it and decides whether to prescribe. In some states a clinician also sees you on a live video visit. Start from your cart with "Start your medical intake". The at-home blood panel is different: it needs no prescription and no telehealth visit.
Can I talk to a clinician before I decide what to order?
Not before you order, for now. A licensed provider looks at your situation during the online medical intake: they review your health history there and decide whether a treatment is appropriate for you. Before that, the education library at avellumhealth.com/education has general information, and your own doctor is a good person to ask. If you feel unwell, call 911.
I checked out, but where did my intake go?
Your medical intake is a separate step after checkout. With a blood panel in your cart, you pay for the panel first, then start the telehealth visit for everything else. If you closed the tab, nothing is lost: sign in, then press "Start your medical intake" on your orders page, or "Start this visit" on your visits page (avellumhealth.com/visit/next). Weight management medication has its own visit, so you may see more than one. No medication is prescribed or charged until an intake is finished.
I finished my intake. What happens now, and which button do I press?
On the last screen, choose "Continue with Avellum" rather than "Close". It brings you back to your visits page, which lists any other visits you still need to start and your next steps. If you already closed it, sign in and go to avellumhealth.com/visit/next. A licensed clinician reviews your intake, and the care team emails you as each visit is reviewed.
During my intake I was offered care coaching. Does it cost extra?
No. Care coaching is 24/7 support that is included at no extra cost, and it is optional. You can opt in right after adding your card during the intake, or later from your care portal, and you can skip it if you would rather not. Once you opt in, you message your care coach in the care portal.
I have ordered. How do I reach my care team?
Email support@avellumhealth.com or call 502-212-4313, and include the order number from your orders page. Questions about how to take your medication, side effects, or whether to start, pause or stop all go to the care team, who pass medical questions to their licensed providers. In an emergency, call 911.
Is Avellum available in Spanish?
Yes. You can read Avellum in Spanish, and the site assistant answers in Spanish. The care team offers Spanish-speaking support for your visit. Dr. Wilson's education videos are in English only for now.
Age, state and pregnancy
I am pregnant. Which peptides are safe for me?
We cannot tell you whether any treatment is safe during pregnancy, while trying to conceive, or while breastfeeding. Please do not start anything for now, and talk it through with your own doctor or OB first. If you choose to go ahead with the online medical intake, a licensed provider reviews your health history there and decides whether a treatment is appropriate. If you feel unwell right now, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Why is Sermorelin unavailable for me? Is it my state?
If the page says Sermorelin is not prescribed at your age, it is about age, not your state: Sermorelin is not prescribed to anyone under 25. The rest of the catalog is still open to you. If you are 25 or older and still see this, write to escalations@avellumhealth.com from the email on your account so the team can check.
Is Avellum available in my state, and how old do I need to be?
You need to be 18 or older. A product costs the same in every state, but a few cannot be prescribed everywhere: the GLP-1 weight management medications are not available through Avellum in Mississippi or Louisiana. A product page tells you when a medication cannot be prescribed in your state, or when no pharmacy we work with can fill it there yet, and the rest of the catalog stays open to you.
I take other medications and have a health condition. Can I still get a treatment?
That is a decision for a licensed provider, and it depends on your health history. They review it during the online medical intake and decide whether a treatment is appropriate for you. If the intake screening finds a reason not to go ahead, you never reach the payment step. Until then, your own doctor is the best person to ask about your situation.
Billing, HSA and FSA, and cancelling
When will I be charged, and why are there two charges?
Medication is charged by the care team, not on Avellum, the moment you finish your medical intake and before a clinician reviews it. It then bills every 28 days while the therapy continues. A blood panel is a separate one-time charge, taken by Valdura when you check out on Avellum. A cart with both means two charges from two companies. You enter your card both times and choose your treatment again inside the intake. On your card statement the panel reads VALDURA HEALTH and medication reads OPNLP - AVELLUM.
How do I cancel or pause my medication?
There is no button to pause or cancel. Both are requests to the care team: email support@avellumhealth.com or call 502-212-4313 with your order number. Write as early as you can, because a request made close to your billing date may not stop that cycle’s charge.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card?
Prescription treatments and lab work are generally eligible medical expenses for HSA and FSA funds. Rules vary by plan, so check with your plan administrator. For medication, have your card ready when you finish your intake, since that is when the charge is taken.
Shipping and supplies
When will my medication arrive?
Your medication ships from a licensed pharmacy once a clinician has prescribed it, as a 28-day supply, cold-chain with tracking. We do not publish a delivery time. For a tracking number, or if something about a shipment looks wrong, email support@avellumhealth.com with your order number.
Do needles and supplies come with my medication?
Yes. Injectable medications ship with the supplies you need, such as syringes, needles and alcohol swabs. The medication guide at avellumhealth.com/care covers general injection technique and storage, and the specifics for you are on your prescription label and with your care team. If anything is missing, email support@avellumhealth.com with your order number.
My shipment arrived warm, damaged or missing something. What do I do?
Email support@avellumhealth.com with your order number and what happened: it arrived warm, a vial is damaged or leaking, the seal is broken, or supplies are missing. The care team can arrange a reship.
The blood panel
What does the blood panel test?
Every marker is listed at valdura.health/what-we-test, with what each one measures and why it matters. Everyone is drawn the longevity panel plus the hormone panel for their sex. Valdura reads your panel, and your results land in your Valdura account with each marker explained in plain language. For what your numbers mean for your own care, talk to your own clinician.
When does my kit ship? Can I pick it up at an event?
Every panel is a pre-order, and kits ship October 1 with prepaid return packaging. Pickup is offered at one event only, FED in Las Vegas, October 2 to 4, if you chose that at checkout. We still ask for your address, and a kit that is not collected at the event is mailed to you after October 5. For any other event or date, choose mail.
How does the at-home kit work? Do I need a prescription or a lab visit?
No prescription, no telehealth visit and no lab visit. The kit uses a Tasso device that sits on your upper arm and collects a small sample in about five minutes; allow about 30 minutes in total. You write your date of birth on the tube, fill in the enclosed form, and mail it back the same day in the prepaid packaging. The device is not for anyone under 18. Step-by-step instructions and a video are at valdura.health/kit.
I bought the blood panel on Avellum (or Crystal Clear). Who do I talk to?
Valdura, wherever you bought it. Valdura charged your card, sends your kit and holds your results, and the Avellum care team cannot see panel orders. Write to support@valdura.health about the charge, the kit, event pickup, results or the Valdura app. When your kit arrives, register its kit code in your Valdura account so your results have somewhere to land.
Valdura and the app
What is Valdura, and is it the same account as Avellum?
Valdura is a health app from the same company family as Avellum. It reads your bloodwork and lab results, tracks them over time and answers questions about them. It is a separate account from Avellum, so join with the same email you use on Avellum and Valdura can match the two. The blood panel is a one-time purchase, and the Valdura membership is separate from it.
How does the included month work? Will I be billed after?
The panel is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Your included month of Valdura starts from your Valdura account once your kit is on its way, with a card on file. After the free days it continues as a paid membership unless you cancel, which you can do anytime. Join Valdura with the same email you used to buy the panel so the month is matched to you.
Signing in
I cannot sign in to Avellum, or I need to change my email. How do I sign out?
Forgot your password? Reset it at avellumhealth.com/reset/request. To change the email you sign in with, sign in and go to avellumhealth.com/account. If the reset does not get you back in, write to escalations@avellumhealth.com; the care team cannot reset an Avellum login. To sign out, press "Sign out" at the top of the page. On a smaller screen it is inside the menu. If you are signed in but seeing Retail price, you do not need to sign out: open your invite link on that device and your price updates.
